What is Buy It Now?

Buy It Now offers you the chance to purchase a product at any time during the auction and up to 24 hours after the auction ends. Any real bids (aka Bid Pack bids) you place on an auction will be discounted off the retail price* and applied up to a percentage of the retail price that can range from 20% of the retail price to 100% of the retail price. Voucher Bids used in an auction will not be used to count towards the Buy It Now price. Also, Buy It Now purchases do not count toward your 7 day win limit.

The auction will continue as normal for all other bidders, even if someone uses the Buy It Now option. There will be no limit to how many bidders that decide to use Buy It Now.

The Buy It Now feature is available to all users at anytime on all auctions that offers a Buy It Now option. If an auction has a Buy It Now option, a Buy It Now box will appear below the price and autobid boxes.  Keep in mind that the Buy It Now option is not available on all auctions and will not be available on any gift card auctions.  No bidding is necessary to use the Buy It Now feature but any bids placed on an auction are offered as a discount against the retail price of the item. The Buy It Now price can't fall below $0.00, even if the discounted sum of all bids is more than the Retail Price of the item.  We recommend first trying to win the item through the auction system which might allow you to get the item at a large discount off the retail price.  If you are unable to win the item through the auction, then we recommend using the Buy It Now feature to purchase the product minus the bids you spent on the auction.

If you use more bids than the max discount off of the retail price, the extra bids you use will not be returned.

Below is an example of how your discount for Buy It Now is calculated.                                             

Retail Price:                                                                  $100.00
Discount: Real Bids Placed x Bid Price:  100 x $0.60 = $60.00
Buy It Now Price:                                                       $40.00 + Shipping/Taxes (if applicable)

The Buy It Now price will be updated after each bid you place.

*The retail price is based on the manufacturers recommended retail price or the price you would typically pay through other retailers.
